Welcome to one of the most successful drama festivals in Canada!

For 37 years, New Brunswick has proudly celebrated Canada’s largest scholastic theatre festival. We hope that your school will be a part of Drama Fest 2012.

 

Payments

This year payment will have to be made before your arrival at the festival to avoid confusion at the registration desk.  We ask that you send your cheque before April 1^st.  Please be accurate with the number of participants because we make up participant packages and base the budget on the numbers that you provide. The participation fee is $20.00 per participant

 

Workshops

We have added more workshops to the festival, descriptions of each workshop will be available at the festival.

 

Audition Panel

We will continue with the Audition Panel at the High School festival.  The students who attended last year were incredibly positive with their feedback. We would like to have more participants this year. While this will be very helpful for any student who might be considering pursuing acting/musical theatre, the experience will help any student who plans to audition for a high school show next year.

Anti-Bullying Play

We are hoping to develop an anti bullying play at the festival. There will be more specific information, but we will be asking for you to send names of two students who will attend a workshop during the festival 

 

Sears Atlantic Drama Festival

I received some information from the Sears Atlantic Festival for High Schools.  Last year three plays were chosen from the festival to represent New Brunswick. There seems to be a change in this format I have not been able to get a final answer, but will make an effort to get a final answer this week. I will send the information as soon as I receive the final response.
